Casey & Trace | Wedding

Casey and Trace were married October 29th at beautiful Locust Hill in Tuscumbia, Alabama. This was our first wedding at the historic 1823 home and I hope it is not the last! The venue was absolutely gorgeous and Casey’s romantic and rustic theme was perfect.  Light pink, ivory, and champagne touches were used through out the decor and burlap, vine wreaths, and Spanish moss mirrored the vintage feel of the homestead.

Yes, her shoes had the same ruffled rosettes as her gorgeous gown from The Something Blue Shoppe in Hartselle, AL.

Something Old: A personalized handkerchief Casey had given her father many years ago was pinned to the skirt of her dress.

Here is Casey’s memory of their first look: “Trace and I enjoyed our wedding day very much.  Since we chose to take pictures before the ceremony, we had a special moment on the porch of the house where we saw each other for the first time that day.  I was very careful during the wedding planning process and did not tell Trace anything about my dress or even how I was going to wear my hair.  That made this moment even more special.  Even though he told me later that my hair was “really poofy”, he loved my dress, hair, and everything! haha:)

I thought this idea was so cute! And delicious! A ice cream cart where you could make your own sundae! Love the personalized sign too!

Siobhan & Kyle | Wedding

Kyle and Siobhan became Husband and Wife on September 24, 2011!! Their beautiful wedding was at the Redstone Arsenal Chapel with the Reception at the Arsenal’s Officers Club. Siobhan had a teal and silver inspired Wedding with a little Auburn University mixed in. They incorporated their favorite football team in small special ways throughout the day!

Siobhan’s Claddagh ring played a part in her Wedding Ceremony. She had Kyle turn around her ring as an additional sign of their marriage. Here is a little more information about the Claddagh ring from their Wedding Program: The Claddagh ring is traditional Irish ring with distinctive design features of two hands clasping a heart, surmounted by a crown.  The elements of this symbol correspond with the qualities of love (The Heart), friendship (The Hands), and loyalty (The Crown). Traditionally, if the ring is worn with the crown facing inward and the heart facing outward, the person wearing the ring is not married and “their heart is open”. When worn with the crown facing outward and the heart inward the person is married and “Someone has captured their heart and they are loyal to them.”

A Grandmother’s insignia ring was added to Siobhan’s bouquet as her “Something Old”.

Siobhan, you are absolutely gorgeous!

This was such a fun wedding party! These guys took advantage of any photo opportunity!

Ashley & Dustin | Engagement

We had a blast on Ashley & Dustin’s Engagement session!
The weather was absolutely perfect and all the Autumn colors created stunning backdrops! Not to mention, that these two are supermodel gorgeous together!
I just loved that Ashley picked the time of year and their outfits out, so that their images would match the colors of their future home! That is so something I would do! I think we definitely nailed some mantle-worthy shots!

Um.. Did I not say “Supermodel” earlier?! Here is the proof!

I love how Dave was able to find the sun peeking through the branches!!

Ashley & Dustin are getting married next May at the beach. While we hate that we can’t be there for their big day, we are absolutely elated they chose us for their engagement photography!

Natalie & Jason | Wedding

Natalie knew what she wanted her wedding to look like the day she got engaged. Of course, she had eight years to daydream.
And coming from a background in interior design with a secret love affair in graphic design, she also knew she wanted to design the details of her wedding.
Her wedding was full of southern charm, complete with cotton bolls, burlap, and custom invitations and programs.
She also incorporated family heirlooms into the decor.  Skeleton keys found by her grandparent’s adorned her bouquet and Jason’s boutonniere.

Date: September 24, 2011
Ceremony: Vintage Faith Church | Decatur, AL
Reception: The Magnolia Room | Decatur, AL

Love the family heirlooms!

Amy & Justin | Wedding

Justin and Amy were married this summer at First United Methodist in Huntsville, Alabama and partied at their reception at the Historic Round House Depot.
We loved Amy’s theme of crisp lime green, yellow, and black, such a perfect palette to compliment this past summer and such a fun couple!
